Blending the Virtual Into the Physical: How are Life-Size Figures Created at hololive production?
hololive SUPER EXPO 2026, held from March 6 to 8 at Makuhari Messe, saw the reveal of a life-size figure of hololive production talent Sakura Miko! This was also not the first time a life-size figure has appeared at a COVER event, but in fact one of many, and on every such occasion, it has been Design COCO ltd. that has taken on the task of producing high-quality figures. In this article, we will look back at the history of figures planned and produced via the collaborative efforts of Design COCO and COVER, and give you a behind-the-scenes look at the production process behind the Sakura Miko figure. We explore the meticulous craftsmanship and unique appeal involved in transforming VTuber talents into life-size figures.

hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 Attendee Interviews: How hololive Has Become Part of Fans’ Everyday Lives and the Passion of the Community
hololive SUPER EXPO 2026, hololive production’s premier annual event, was held for three days between March 6 (Fri) –8 (Sun), 2026, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture. The EXPO, the first three-day event of its kind, had the theme of "hololive time-warp". With the concept of transcending time and space, attendees were able to visit and experience various what-if worlds featuring hololive talents, with the venue being split into three areas: PARALLEL, WORLD, and MEMORY―all filled with passion and excitement from both domestic and international visitors.

“hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 by BANDAI" (hereinafter hololive SUPER EXPO) and "hololive 7th fes. Ridin' on Dreams by LAWSON," held on March 6 (Fri)–8 (Sun), 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, are hololive production's annual premier events with this year being the most intense three days yet for all fans who gathered at the venue or on stream to celebrate their oshi. BANDAI CO., LTD. (hereinafter BANDAI), which has over 75 years of experience in shaping social phenomena in the entertainment industry, including the worldwide hit series MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM, has been hololive SUPER EXPO's platinum sponsor since 2024. While exploring the BANDAI/BANDAI SPIRITS booth at hololive SUPER EXPO 2026, we spoke to the staff members about how they feel about the EXPO and what it means to be a platinum sponsor, as well as future collaborations they wish to have with hololive production.
